Telangana: Newly-wed groom drowned day after nikah

Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a newly-wed groom died after drowning in a lake located in Allapur Village of Vikharabad District, Telangana. This incident took place a day after his ‘nikah’ (marriage).
The groom who is identified as 22-year-old Yaseen had married a girl who hails from Falaknuma area. Later, Yaseen along with the family members visited the lake where he and his cousin, aged 10 years, fell into it accidentally.
With the help of the local villagers, relatives took them out of the lake. Both of them were rushed to a government hospital where Yaseen was declared dead.

Hyderabad, March 3 : Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Wednesday called for an intensified campaign to motivate all the eligible people to get vaccinated for Covid-19.
She directed the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Telangana branch, to coordinate with all the district units to launch a massive campaign to create awareness among the people and facilitate the Covid vaccination drive. The country is presently witnessing the world s largest vaccination drive. Our country has emerged self-reliant in vaccine development, production, supply and vaccination. It is a great opportunity for all the eligible people to get vaccinated, Tamilisai said.

Altogether, around 90 doctors are under the radar
Show cause notices were issued to 27 Telangana government teaching hospital doctors seeking explanation why action should not be taken against them for unauthorised absence from duties.
The doctors got the jobs in various departments including Neurology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatric surgery, and other specialities.
They were posted to duties as assistant professors, tutors, at Osmania Medical College, Koti, Gandhi Hospital, Musheerabad, Niloufer Hospital, Red Hills, Institute of Mental Health, Erragadda, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Adilabad, and other teaching hospitals.
Senior officials said that they were absent after attending duties for a few days to months.
