Microsoft have released a flash removal update to take Adobe Flash permanently off W10 computers and block its reinstallation.
The update is optional but is being widely promoted by some tech websites.
Please be aware that if you run this it will stop the older issues in the archive from working, and the only way to restore it would be to roll back the W10 update and reinstall Flash.
It s not clear if it would block third party flash players.
Obviously it s your decision whether you want to use the update or not, but I thought I should make people aware.
And as recent Forum posts have shown, there are scammers out there waiting for the unwary.
An old machine will lack the features normal to more modern machines, may be worn or damaged, and could have parts missing. Finding replacements can be problematical, even IF a part can be found. It may be even more worn or damaged than the part that you want to replace. Or your machine may be a Mk1, and the part, when it arrives turns out to be for a Mk2A. and so either will not fit

Pepper Money has been added to Affordability Hub, the affordability-based sourcing system from mortgage technology expert Mortgage Brain.
The hub provides advisers with the ability to source products for their clients based on the results from the affordability calculators provided by partner lenders.
Affordability Hub is available at no added cost to fully registered users of Criteria Hub, Mortgage Brain’s criteria-based sourcing system, as part of their existing license.
Paul Adams, sales director at Pepper Money, said: “Affordability is an important consideration for brokers in choosing the right lender for their customers, and often the most suitable lender may not be one they first consider particularly if there is some complexity in the way the customers earn their income.

Specialist lender Pepper Money has joined Mortgage Brian’s affordability based sourcing system.
Affordability Hub, launched in September 2019, finds products based on partner lenders’ affordability calculators and boasts of being able to display results in under a minute.
It is available for free to any fully registered user of Mortgage Brain’s other sourcing system, Criteria Hub.
Mortgage Brain sales and marketing director Neil Wyatt says that Affordability Hub is a “game changer”, adding that advisers “carry out hundreds of searches every hour on the platform,” with it providing a fully complaint audit trial when searches are carried out.

I found out today while in Coles Air Tools that they are an agent/distributor for Optimum lathes and mills. What SHOULD have happened when I ordered my lathe from Brisbane is that they should have immediately directed me to call Coles Air Tools to place the order. Had that happened, then none of this nonsense would ever have occurred. I would have just taken it back to the shop here in Cairns after the initial problems became evident and they would have sorted it out very quickly...it is so frustrating to find this out now !
