Pininfarina’s Battista hypercar arrives in London later this month, as part of a world tour to drum up interest among potential buyers. The Italian design house is known for penning countless supercars over the years, but the pure electric Battista is its first own-brand effort.
In the UK, the car will be sold by Jardine Motors Group under the Automobili Pininfarina London banner. Neil Williamson, CEO for Jardine, said he “anticipates significant demand as clients seek to get up close and personal with a unique and sustainable motoring innovation from a prestigious luxury car maker.” Quite.
Pininfarina says its hyper-EV blasts to 60mph quicker than a current Formula 1 car. Its four electric motors – one for each wheel – develop a combined 1,900hp. The Battista can also travel more than 310 miles between recharges. Just 150 examples will be made, all hand-built, with a price tag of around £2 million.

Jardine Motors Group will sell the £2m, 1,900PS Automobili Pininfarina Battista EV hypercar from a new London dealership after the Italian car maker ended its retailer agreement with HR Owen.
A spokesperson for Pininfarina confirmed to AM that its contract with AM100 luxury car retailer HR Owen had ended last year, before sales of its limited-run hypercar had started, and that Jardine had now stepped in to become its London and southern UK retailer.
HR Owen, meanwhile, revealed a franchise agreement with rival EV hypercar manufacturer Rimac seven months after initially signing with Pininfarina.
The Pininfarina spokesman told AM: “Automobili Pininfarina ended its retailer agreement with HR Owen last year and we then set about finding a new partner for the important southern UK area.

I’m still trying to wrap my mind around why Kilbride was targeted to such a degree. Aside from complaints about pensions that Kilbride had no real control over in the first place, was the only goal to replace him with a republican? Looking at his record, he seemed to be a very very pro-life judge, and in most other areas didn’t rule along any partisan lines.
Unrelated, Andy needs to work on his messaging a little more.
“I’m not a partisan, I just want to see a republican in that seat.”

The bill, introduced on Jan. 5 and passed during the closing hours of the lame duck session – the Senate got a revised version at 3 a.m. on the final day and sent it to the House two hours later – was one of the last pieces of legislation to pass the General Assembly before adjournment last week. Supporters say that the 764-page bill sent to the governor will make police more accountable while putting poor defendants on an equal footing with accused criminals who have sufficient cash to bond out of jail. The bill contains dozens of changes to state law beyond the elimination of cash bail in 2023. There would be statewide use-of-force standards, and all police officers would have to be equipped with body cameras by 2025. The state Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board could receive complaints, anonymously or otherwise, conduct investigations and revoke certification for cops who engage in misconduct ranging from excessive use of force to turning off body
