BURGLARY: Evans and Worrall admitted the burglary in Cleobury Road at Worcester Crown Court TWO men dramatically changed their plea and admitted burglary and the theft of a £26,000 Land Rover in Worcestershire, on the day of their expected trial. John Lawrence has been sentenced for possession of a knife. Photo: Pixabay A 28-year-old man who hid a kitchen knife in his van has been ordered to pay hundreds of pounds. John Lawrence, of Whitehall Close, Chigwell, was stopped by police while driving his Ford Transit van in Manor Road on the afternoon of Monday, August 24. Lawrence was arrested at the scene after officers searched the van and retrieved the eight-inch kitchen knife from behind the driver’s sun visor. The 28-year-old was charged the same day with possession of a knife or blade in a public place and appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on October 22.
