Jonesville man pleads no contest to CSC charge

HILLSDALE A Jonesville man charged with three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct pleaded no contest to one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct Monday in a plea bargain.
Robert Anthony Acheson, 36, was arrested Dec. 28, 2020, by the Hillsdale City Police Department on a felony warrant charging him with the crimes.
The alleged victims, a brother and sister under the age of 13, are the children of an ex-girlfriend whom Acheson previously lived with.
They testified as to the details of the crimes during an earlier preliminary examination hearing held in the 2B District Court. Specific details including the children’s names are being withheld due to their age and the nature of the crimes.
