(AP) Justin Jaworski came off two screens to bank home a runner in the lane with the game-winning points in the final seconds as Lafayette clipped Lehigh 71-70 in the regular season finale on Sunday. Lehigh had three shots in the last 7.7 seconds but none fell as the Explorers held on for the win. Lafayette (9-5, 9-5) takes on Bucknell in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League tournament on Saturday. Lehigh (4-10, 4-10) will square off against Boston University in the tournament s opening round on Wednesday, with the winner facing league-champion Colgate on Saturday. Jaworski scored nine for the Explorers, while Kyle Jenkins led with 16 on 6-for-7 shooting, including four 3-pointers. Neal Quinn added 13 points while Tyrone Perry and E.J. Stephens added 10 each.

BALTIMORE (AP) - Santi Aldama had 21 points and 10 rebounds as Loyola (Md.) got past Lafayette 75-62 on Sunday for the Greyhounds’ first win this season.
The home-and-home series, which continues Monday, was set up on Friday with COVID-19 shutting down the opposing teams originally on the schedule. Loyola, one of the last two teams to open the season, lost two games to start the season at Lafayette, both by two points.
After losing its first four games by a total of seven points, including a triple-overtime thriller with American, the other team to begin play Jan. 16, Loyola lost to Navy by 18. The second game was postponed then Bucknell had to bail this weekend and Lafayette was scheduled again.
Jakob Alamudun had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Lehigh. Jeameril Wilson added seven rebounds.
Justin Jaworski scored a career-high 37 points and had eight rebounds for the Leopards. E.J. Stephens scored a career-high 30 points and had eight rebounds. They are the first Patriot League teammates to both score 30 points in the same game in at least five seasons. Jaworski scored the most points by a Lafayette player since since Jim Mower had 37 on Nov. 2, 2011.
Neal Quinn added 12 points and six assists for Lafayette.
The teams will play again, this time at Lafayette, on Sunday.
