Night Birds. Each of the program s nine dances is named for a type of bird, with the movement intended to represent the essence and beauty of the animal – paying homage to its nature, without being too obvious, according to AJ Garcia-Rameau, the company s artistic director.

Free Museum Day had to take a year off due to the COVID pandemic but it s back in 2021 and set for Saturday, September 18 with more than 1,000 museums, zoos and cultural centers across the country welcoming visitors in for free as part of the 17th Museum Day.

This years theme is Experience America. A fitting theme indeed after a year of basically no travel.
Chief revenue officer at Smithsonian Media, Amy Wilkins, tells USA TODAY,
“Museum Day represents a national commitment to access, equity and inclusion and after a rough year and a half, we’re excited for museums to open their doors and offer these educational and cultural experiences to the public for free this Museum Day.”
