St. Louis jazz singer Denise Thimes knows going to see a concert these days isn’t what it used to be — not with a pandemic raging. That’s why she’s grateful for those who will show up Dec. 20 for her Blue Strawberry debut, where she performs two shows. “I want to first say to people thank you for considering coming out,” she says. “What I want is to encourage people to please come out and support. I know the (COVID-19) numbers are high, but (Blue Strawberry owner Jim Dolan) has done an excellent job.” The intimate Central West End space has been presenting concerts for a few months since venues were able to reopen.
