The Queen is looking to hire a cyber security expert to protect the Firm s emails and Google searches from hackers.
The Royal Household posted an advertisement for a Cyber Security Engineer, earning between £50,000 and £60,000 and working 37 and a half hours a week.
The role will involve monitoring the household s network and systems , identifying security threats and leading response activities .
The advert, posted on the royal vacancies website, asks that candidates submit their CVs by May 26, before interviews start in June.
Other jobs currently listed on the site include a liveried helper - responsible for getting the Queen s horses ready for Royal events - and an operational support coordinator for the Royal Collection Trust.
Although the State Opening is the most significant public event in the queen s recent diary, she has not been idle. Only days after her husband s death, she was carrying out some routine duties, such as royal audiences to receive new ambassadors and presiding over a retirement ceremony for her most senior royal household official, according to the Court Circular, the official record of royal engagements.
On Monday, she was back at her laptop at Windsor Castle, where she has spent most of the pandemic, talking via video call to the Royal Life Saving Society, sharing fond memories of achieving her own life-saving qualification as a teen princess 80 years ago. She became the first young person in the Commonwealth to achieve the Society’s Junior Respiration Award, Buckingham Palace said.

78-year-old Prince Michael of Kent was eighth in line to the throne at his time of birth, in Buckinghamshire, on 4 July 1942. As a grandson of King George V and Queen Mary, he is the Queen’s first cousin and, these days, he is 50th in the line of succession.
Aged five he had a starring role as a page boy at the wedding of Prince Elizabeth and Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, the late Duke of Edinburgh. Born during the Second World War, seven weeks after his birth, Prince Michael’s father – Prince George, Duke of Kent – was killed in a plane crash near Dunbeath in Scotland. Prince Michael’s mother was Princess Marina, a daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece and Denmark and Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna of Russia.
Brandishing a pair of oversize scissors, she joked: ‘I’d go anywhere for a hot meal!’
It was a dig at critics, who’d been moaning that the gig was unbecoming of a British royal. But the light-hearted remark also laid bare a more serious truth: that despite their blue-blooded pedigree, the Princess and her husband, Prince Michael, had grown accustomed to being perennially short of cash.

The queen returned to work on Tuesday, 10 days after the funeral of her late husband of over 70 years, Prince Philip.
The royal, who is still residing at Windsor Castle, met two incoming ambassadors over video chat: Ivita Burmistre, an ambassador from Latvia, and Sara Affoue Amani of Ivory Coast.
The royal family was previously observing a two-week period of mourning ― which came to a close Friday ― following the Duke of Edinburgh’s death on April 9. Philip died at Windsor Castle at age 99.
Today The Queen held Audiences with incoming Ambassadors via video link from Windsor Castle to Buckingham Palace.
