He’s baaaaaaack. Steven Biss, razzledazzle defamation lawyer to the stars, has busted into another news cycle like the Kool-Aid Man. Only this time, it’s Biss who’ll be gulping down a big, cold glass of CNN’s legal bills.
OH, YEAH.
Well, Biss and also his client Derek Harvey, a former military intelligence officer who seems to have broken bad after falling in with a bad crowd at the House Intelligence Committee. In his position as Rep. Devin Nunes’s righthand man, Harvey managed to implicate himself in the Ukraine impeachment scandal, cahootsing with Rudy Giuliani, Lev Parnas, and Victoria Toensing in the back room of the Trump Hotel in DC to gin up dirt on Joe and Hunter Biden.

A lawyer known for representing Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) in a string of unsuccessful defamation suits against media companies and parody Twitter accounts has been sanctioned and ordered to pay over $21,000 in attorneys fees to CNN.
U.S. District Judge Richard Bennett determined that an amended version of a lawsuit filed by attorney Steven Biss on behalf of Nunes senior aide Derek Harvey late last year was frivolous, according to court documents obtained by Law & Crime. The amended suit was dismissed with prejudice on March 31 after the judge determined that it did not make any new claims. With prejudice is a legal term that means the lawsuit cannot be filed again.
Chad Focus admitted in a guilty plea that he stole from his employer to enhance his music career. The 33-year-old put up billboards in Times Square and Baltimore claiming he was the “No. 1 recording artist in the world.”

Nunes senior aide hit with sanctions as part of CNN lawsuit

A federal judge hit a senior aide and attorney of Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) with sanctions ordering them to pay the cost of legal fees for a lawsuit they filed against CNN.
The federal judge s sanctions come several weeks after he dismissed Harvey s lawsuit against the network. At the time, Bennett noted that his decision was based on Harvey s failure to prove that the news outlet s reporting was materially false. Harvey and Biss also filed their amended complaint seeking to appeal Bennett s previous dismissal of the case, but to no avail.
