Trial date set for man accused of murdering his two children and ex-partner A 29-year-old man has appeared at court charged with murdering his two children, his partner and the attempted murder of another child. Jordan Monaghan, of Belgrave Close, Blackburn, appeared in front of Judge Robert Altham at Preston Crown Court on Thursday morning, when a date was set for his trial. Monaghan will stand trial at Preston Crown Court on October 4 this year, where proceedings are expected to take around 10 weeks. Monaghan has been charged with the murder of partner Evie Adams, two children, Logan and Ruby Monaghan, and two charges of attempted murder on a third child, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
A VIOLENT thug has been jailed for savagely beating an Irish grandad to death and pouring paint over him at the request of his vengeful girlfriend.
David Carney and Tracey Fielding were arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of Raymond Cullen was found at his home address in Bold Street, Fleetwood on October 10, 2019.
Mr Cullen, who was known locally as ‘Irish Ray’, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, having suffered a violent assault, including significant head injuries and bruising to his arms, legs and body.
Ray (55) was born and raised in Ireland but had lived in the UK for many years and was a popular figure in the Lancashire area.

A THUG who battered a terminally-ill Irish grandad to death and poured paint over his body at the request of his vindictive girlfriend has been jailed for life.
David Carney called round to Ray Cullen’s home in the early hours and launched a violent and unprovoked attack on the 55-year-old before dumping a can of paint on him as he lay dying from severe head injuries.
