Police woke an Altoona man from his nap Monday to inform him he was in the wrong apartment.
Matthew P. Hazlett, 35, was arraigned Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge Andrew Blattenberger on charges of criminal trespass, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Blair County court documents.
The Altoona Police Department responded to a trespassing call near the 2900 block of Broad Avenue about 11 p.m., police reported.
Upon arrival, police allegedly discovered Hazlett “slouched on the couch” and fast asleep, court documents stated.
The victim told police he was sitting at his dining room table when Hazlett reportedly entered the apartment through the unsecured front door, mumbled unintelligibly and plopped down on the sofa before nodding off, court documents stated.
