Rookie probate judge could be highest paid judge in Douglas Co.
Last year, the Douglas County Probate Office handled 647 cases, most of them uncontested wills.
DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - Douglas County commissioners approved an increase in the salary of their new probate judge, paving the way for the possibility Christina Peterson next year could be the highest-paid judge in the Douglas County courthouse.
Peterson has never been a judge before. And the probate court’s primary function is to process wills, marriage licenses, and concealed weapon permits. This is a sham, complained Commissioner Ann Jones Guider, one of the two commissioners who voted no. This is a dark day in Douglas County.

In 2007 Mark Allen Campbell, who now calls himself Nicole Rose Campbell, of Waupun, Wisconsin was arrested for sexually assaulting and abusing his 10-year-old daughter. He was sentenced to 34 years in prison. In December 2020 a federal judge declared that Campbell at age 49, now identifying as a transgender woman, has a Constitutional right to gender affirmation surgery, paid by the taxpayers.
He is currently allowed to walk around in women’s clothing and he wears makeup in the prison.
THE STORY
Since 2013, he has tried to get transgender surgery and eventually won the lawsuit in 2020 to get the state to pay for his ‘medical needs.’
