Sheriff s deputies arrested in March Garaus Henry, of Lansing, who they said was the driver of a vehicle involved in a high-speed crash that injured four people. Sha-Heem Harris, 21, of Elmira, was the passenger in the other vehicle who was pronounced dead at the scene of the 1:50 a.m. accident on Auburn Road.
Henry was initially indicted on three counts of second-degree attempted murder and one count of second-degree aggravated criminal possession of a weapon, according to the Tompkins County Sheriff s Office.
A grand jury later also indicted Henry on the additional charges of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, two counts of second-degree assault and first-degree reckless endangerment.

NUECES COUNTY, Texas Nueces County Courthouse judges are awaiting word from the Texas Supreme Court on what to do about Governor Greg Abbott s new order that will lift the mask mandate on March 10. We definitely need clarification, 214th District Court Judge Inna Klein said.
Klein is also the presiding judge of the courts in Nueces County. She said the governor s orders are vague. For that reason, the courts will continue to handle cases as they have been since the coronavirus pandemic began a year ago.

NUECES COUNTY, Texas The administrative judge for the Nueces County District Courts responded today to the concerns raised by the Coastal Bend Criminal Lawyers Association to the plan to re-open some courts for jury trials. The reopening would begin the week of February 8.
Judge Inna Klein‘s 214th District Courtroom has been transformed during this pandemic. There is now plexiglass throughout the room. It’s part of the safety measures being implemented to allow for some Nueces County District courtrooms to re-open.
A judge has dismissed two out of three charges against the former Rhinelander City Administrator.
Daniel Guild appeared via video in Oneida County Court Friday for a motion hearing.
Price County Judge Kevin Klein is presiding over the case.
In March of this year, Guild was arrested and charged with Misconduct in Public Office and Failure to Perform Known Duty.
He is currently out of jail on a signature bond.
His arrest followed a more than three-month investigation by the Oneida County Sheriff s Department regarding open records requests.
The original charge is moving forward. The next court date has not yet been set.
