A bench consisting of Justice Lal Jan Khattak and Justice Mohammad Naeem Anwar pronounced a short order in that respect after the completion of arguments by both sides and allowed development schemes in all 14 provincial constituencies of Peshawar district. It also vacated the stay order issued for all development schemes in Peshawar. The stay order have halted all development work in the district since Apr 2020.

Pre-arrest bail of Capt Safdar extended over assets probe - Newspaper

PESHAWAR: A Peshawar High Court bench on Wednesday extended till February 9 the interim pre-arrest bail earlier granted to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader retired Captain Mohammad Safdar in an ongoing inquiry against him by National Accountability Bureau regarding his assets. The bench of Justice Lal Jan Khattak and Justice Ijaz Anwar directed Mr Safdar to cooperate with the investigation team and appear before it whenever required. The bench was hearing a pre-arrest bail petition filed by Mr Safdar stating that the inquiry against him was initiated under political consideration. In October last year, the court had granted interim bail to him on condition of furnishing two sureties of Rs500,000 each.

The appellants were convicted by an ATC in Mardan on March 5, 2020. They were sentenced on different counts to 30 years rigorous imprisonment each.
