Drug case to be decided next week

The trial of alleged drug trafficker Anderson Bridgeman is expected to end on Wednesday, June 30.
That’s when Justice Randall Worrell will give his summation of the case before giving the matter over to the nine-member jury for deliberation and verdict.
Bridgeman, of Belleplaine Housing Area, St Andrew has been on trial before Supreme Court No. 2, charged with possession, trafficking and importation of 632. 5 kilogrammes of cannabis on July 17, 2012.
Officers from the Barbados Coast Guard were among witnesses who gave evidence in the case. They told the court that Bridgeman and three other men were apprehended about 6.5 nautical miles off North Point, St Lucy on July 17.
