Trafficker jailed over $115k ice deal

Aaron Dean Weston, 30, was on probation when police stopped his vehicle in February 2018 and found 10g of cocaine, 6g of ice and $1750 cash, a Supreme Court was told. The court heard the Toowoomba father made unconvincing denials about the drugs and a search of his phone revealed he had been trafficking to 14 people between February and May 2018. After the search, Queensland Police began monitoring Weston s phone and soon became aware that he had arranged to sell $115,000 worth of ice.

Sharn Patrick Quarterman, 34, faced Brisbane Supreme Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to six counts of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing a category R weapon and other summary offences. The court heard Queensland Police found the stun gun and methylamphetamine alongside smaller amounts of marijuana, GBL, cocaine and $2590 cash when they executed search warrants at two of Quarterman s Broadbeach properties in November 2019.

Teen in court for selling MDMA at festival

Riley Jack Hubbard, 19, faced Brisbane Supreme Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to possessing and supplying drugs at the Earth Frequency Festival at Peak Crossing, near Ipswich, on February 15 last year. The court was told that Hubbard was arrested after Queensland Police searched his bag and discovered 37 MDMA caps, 19 bags of ketamine weighing 5g and $785 in cash. The Logan teen told police that he had taken $500 cash to the festival and that he had sold the drugs, which belonged to a friend, to five people.
