Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said the city has already received its supply of Sputnik V after its delivery to the country encountered several delays.
Individuals under the A1 (medical frontliners), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (persons with comorbidities) priority groups who got their first dose of Sputnik V last June 2 were the first to receive the second dose.
The second dose vaccinations for Sputnik V were held at Sta. Ana Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila, Gat Andres Bonifacio, Justice Jose Abad Santos, Ospital ng Sampaloc, and Ospital ng Tondo.
More than 3,000 second dose vaccines of Sputnik V were deployed by the city on its first day of rollout.

The vaccination for family members of A1 was held in Sta. Ana Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila, Gat Andres Bonifacio, Justice Jose Abad Santos, Moises Salvador Elementary School, and Ospital ng Tondo.
Each site had 1,000 first dose vaccines to deploy.
Family members of medical frontline workers should bring an ID, printed waiver form, and their QR code.
On May 27, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) issued Resolution No. 117 which puts immediate family members of healthcare workers under the priority group A1 “should supply be available.”
As of June 30, the city of Manila has deployed 631,463 vaccines, 465,672 of which were first doses, and 165,791 were second doses.

(Contributed photo) June 10, 2021 ALBERTO Bawagan Fernandez, a Cebuano war veteran, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021. He was 99 years old.
Fernandez, born on August 21, 1921 in Doong, Bantayan, Cebu to Francisco Fernandez and Genara Bawagan, was studying in the Philippine National High School (now Abellana), when World War 2 came to the Philippines.
He was in the ROTC, when General Wainwright called on all US forces to surrender. When the Japanese forces reached Cebu City, he escaped and took the train to Carcar and when he reached Carcar, he was arrested by Japanese forces and was tied down at the Carcar City rotunda with the late Chief Justice Jose Abad Santos.

Manila’s charismatic action mayor, Isko “Yorme” Moreno Domagoso, banks on the city’s COVID-19 Field Hospital to unclog the city’s district hospitals and make space for additional ICU setups.
The COVID-19 Field Hospital, which is currently being constructed, is the mayor’s creative solution to overcrowding in the city’s public hospitals. He has been very busy since the Burnham Green broke ground on April 20 at Rizal Park. The P154-million, 4,402-square-meter facility will accommodate 336 mild to moderate COVID-19 cases.
