LHC approves Shehbaz Sharif s bail in money laundering case
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday has approved bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif in money laundering case.
During the proceedings, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor has argued that the lawyers of PML-N leader had presented inappropriate observance in previous hearing.
After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court has granted bail to Shehbaz Sharif and directed him to submit two surety bonds worth Rs5 million each.

During the proceedings headed by Justice Ali Baqir Najfi, Shehbaz Sharif’s lawyer Azam Tarar said that his client got bail as per the law.
Justice Ali Baqir Najfi said that it’s a lesson for you. You should believe the decision after receiving its verified copy. It’s the duty of lawyer to avoid telling anything to his client before the release of written verdict, he remarked.

A three-member bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday fixed the hearing of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif’s bail petition in the money laundering case.
Justice Ali Baqar Najafi-headed bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear the bail petition of Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday (today) after the previous bench came up with a split decision on Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif’s release on bail. The other judges in the newly-formed bench will include Justice Aalia Neelum and Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi.

Following the split decision on Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif’s bail petition, the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday formed a new bench to decide upon the matter. Chief Justice LHC Qasim Khan formed a three-member bench to hear the bail plea of Shehbaz Sharif. The new bench is headed by Justice Ali Baqir Naji, while Justice Aalia Neelam and Justice Shahbaz Rizvi would be the member of the bench.
Earlier, the judges of the LHC bench came up with a split decision on Sharif’s release on bail. Justice Sarfraz Dogar, who headed the bench, allowed the petition while its other member Justice Asjad Javed Ghural dismissed the same on merits. In his dissenting order, Justice Ghural also accused the senior judge of issuing the bail granting short order ‘unilaterally’.
