ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2021 ) :A division bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday reserved its judgment on maintainability of petitions challenging auction of former prime ministerNawaz Sharif s property in toshakhana corruption reference.
A division bench comprising Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri took up the cases against the confiscation and auction of Nawaz Sharif s property under the decision of an accountability court. The three separate petitions were filed by Mian Iqbal Barkat, Aslam Aziz and Muhammad Ashraf Malik through their counsel Qazi Misbah to IHC.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday urged the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to issue permanent arrest warrants for former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
The bench, comprising Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, heard the pleas made by Nawaz, Maryam Nawaz, and Captain (retd) Safdar against their sentences by the accountability court.
Observing that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo has already been declared an absconder, Justice Aamir Farooq asked both the counsels to assist on appointing a representative.
Later, on the request by Maryam’s counsel Amjad Pervez, the court adjourned the hearing till the last week of May.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday fixed appeals of the National Accountanbility Bureau (NAB) against newly appointed finance minister Shaukat Tarin’s acquittal in Sahiwal and Piraghaib Rental Power references for hearing on June 1.
A two-judge bench headed by Justice Aamir Farooq will take up the appeals.
The corruption watchdog has challenged an accountability court’s verdicts of acquitting Tarin in the Piraghaib and Sahiwal Rental Power references.
Last week, an IHC bench disposed of a plea seeking early hearing of the appeals. A two-member bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mahmood took up the application moved by Tarin.
