Alex Enumah in Abuja The Supreme Court yesterday refused request by Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, to declare him as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the December 5 by-election in Imo North Senatorial District. The apex court refused to grant Ararume’s request when it dismissed two of his appeals challenging the outcome of the APC’s primary election for the selection of candidate for the Imo North Senatorial bye election. The Supreme Court held that the appeals lacked merit and should be dismissed. In two separate judgments, the five-man panel of the apex court, led by Justice Amina Augie, affirmed the decisions of the Court of Appeal, Owerri division, which voided the proceedings and decisions in the suit filed by Lady Uchenna Onyeiwu Ubah before the Federal High Court in Owerri.
