Don t know when the govt will go: Maryam

July 7, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The PMLN Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said after such a long struggle, talks about any deal are baseless. While talking to media outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC), where she came to attend the hearing of her appeal Tuesday, she said she doesn’t know when the government would go, but whenever it goes, then it would never come back to power. She said time will come when everyone will have to be answerable. She was confident that if fair elections were held, the PMLN would emerge victorious in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Maryam said the PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif represented the party at the Swat rally, while she was assigned the responsibility of campaigning for AJK elections. She said the PMLN would not remain silent. She slammed any talk of deal with the PTI government, terming it misguiding. “Why will there be any deal? [.] Are we mad to have a deal with those we are [fighting] against?” she questioned.

IHC wants Zardari in person for bail hearing

IHC wants Zardari in person for bail hearing By News Desk ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday directed former president Asif Ali Zardari to appear in person today (Wednesday) for a hearing on his interim bail petition in a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) inquiry pertaining to an apartment in New York City. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Aamer Farooq heard the pre-arrest bail case of the former president filed through his counsel Farook Naek. At the outset of hearing, Naek pleaded that the former president could not appear before the court due to health problems and requested the court to grant him bail in the NAB inquiry in his absence. He said he had also filed an application seeking exemption from hearing for his client.
