IMF Staff Completes Mission to the Central African Republic May 21, 2021 End-of-Mission press releases include statements of IMF staff teams that convey preliminary findings after a visit to a country. The views expressed in this statement are those of the IMF staff and do not necessarily represent the views of the IMF s Executive Board. This mission will not result in a Board discussion. The Central African authorities and IMF team discussed economic policies and structural reforms that could form the basis of a staff-monitored program. These discussions will continue in the coming days. The staff-monitored program will aim at helping the authorities address the economic challenges caused by the security crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic. It also calls for the implementation of structural reforms to improve governance and public financial management and strengthen domestic revenue mobilization
