Barrett thinks that everyone can find enjoyment for one reason or another while visiting the museum. “Some visitors enjoy feeling a sense of nostalgia and connection to history and culture,” she says. “Others find appreciation in the artistry or workmanship of the pieces. The stories behind the quilts are of interest to many people.” She adds that the “40x40@40” exhibit will be of particular interest to anyone who appreciates fine visual art.

A new walking trail ‘Poems for Positivity’ has been launched in Heywood by local company PossAbilities, supported by GM Walking.
A trail with a difference through imaginative themes of dragons and fairies to name a few, community interest company PossAbilities - which supports people with learning disabilities - has launched the interactive trail for people to get ‘moving in a more positive direction’.
