Nearly 2,500 abandoned vehicles removed this year

Around 2,500 abandoned vehicles have been removed since the beginning of this year from different municipalities by the Joint Committee for Removing Abandoned Vehicles at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME).
The committee yesterday launched a campaign to remove abandoned vehicles in Al Rayan Municipality. Following Law No. 18 of 2017 of Public Hygiene, the campaign was launched to preserve public health and ensure environmental protection. It also comes within the framework of continuing inspection campaigns to remove various abandoned vehicles in the country to preserve the aesthetics of the State. The campaign was attended by officials from Al Rayan Municipality, Doha Municipality, and Lekhwiya.

Doha: The Joint Committee for Removing Abandoned Vehicles at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) yesterday launched a campaign to remove abandoned vehicles from a number of places across Al Khor and Al Zakhira Municipality.
The campaign will run for two weeks targeting to remove all abandoned vehicles from across the Municipality. “Over 100 abandoned vehicles and equipment are expected to be removed from different places of the Municipality during first week of the campaign,” said Acting Head of the General Monitoring Section at Al Khor and Al Zakhira Municipality, Talal Al Ruwaili.
