Niskayuna High School graduate and Las Vegas showgirl Danielle Flahive got more than she bargained for on the latest episode of “Pawn Stars.”
Flahive appeared on the History Channel show hoping to sell a suit her father had for years, one he said was once worn by Billy Gibbons of the legendary rock group ZZ Top.

Journeymen Wrestling Club owner and operator Frank Popolizio is in the process of putting together an April tournament for high school-level New York wrestlers that will be held in Pennsylvania, which currently has its high school and club sports on pause.
Popolizio’s prep for the Journeymen New York State Championships is taking place while COVID-19 cases are on the rise both nationally and internationally, and also while COVID-19 vaccinations are starting to take place.
Niskayuna school district details $62 million and $17 million propositions set for February vote | The Daily Gazette

NISKAYUNA The Niskayuna school board on Tuesday night approved plans for a pair of capital project propositions in February: one for $62.2 million in renovations and expansions of the district’s core academic spaces and a second for $16.8 million in upgrades to athletic facilities and other site improvements.
Superintendent Cosimo Tangorra Jr. and the district’s architect, financial adviser and construction manager outlined the two proposed projects, and the board unanimously approved resolutions to put the two propositions up for voter approval Feb. 9. In-person and absentee voting upon request will both be options for district residents.
