Aylesbury teens arrested in connection with two robberies

Two boys from Aylesbury have been arrested in connection with two robberies that happened in the town. At around 9.15pm on Tuesday, February 9, a 29-year-old man was walking along the High Street when he was approached by two males who started a conversation with him. After a couple of minutes, one of them then snatched a £10 note from his hand while the other took the remaining £5. Less than 15 minutes later, at around 9.30pm, the suspects then approached two boys riding their bikes on Station Way West. They forced the boys – aged 15 and 16 – to give them their bikes and rode away from the scene.

Third head-on crash at Cherrydown East, Basildon | Clacton and Frinton Gazette

HIGHWAYS bosses have criticised “poor driver behaviour” after a third head-on crash took place on an overhauled junction. The crash, which happened Tuesday afternoon, is believed to have taken place after a car was driving in the wrong lane at the Cherrydown East roundabout. Fortunately, Essex Police say nobody was injured during the collision. It comes after a new layout changed the traffic flow on Cherrydown East, Station Way and Clay Hill Road, with roads changing from one-way to two-way traffic. Bosses hoped it would help make the area more accessible and deter unnecessary traffic, but Kerry Smith, deputy leader of Basildon Council, claims there have now been about seven crashes since changes were made just over two weeks ago.
