Representative Ryan Yamane currently serves as the Chair of the Health, Human Services, and Homelessness Committee. He previously chaired the House Committee on Health from 2009-2012. He also previously chaired the House Tourism and Culture Committee from 2006-2008. Yamane has dedicated himself to public service as a social worker, instructor and disaster volunteer for the State of Hawaii. Yamane represents the 37th State House District and has served in the Hawaii House of Representatives since 2005.

May 18, 2021. Along with the primary election, there are four
special elections to fill vacancies in the General Assembly. Those
that win their special election will serve the remaining term of
the former member.
22nd State Senate District (Lackawanna/Luzerne/Monroe) –
Chris Chermak (R) will face Marty Flynn (D) to replace former Sen.
John Blake (D);
48th State Senate District (Dauphin/Lebanon/York) – Chris
Gebhard (R) will face Calvin Clements (D) to replace former Sen.

Michigan Lawmakers Look At $13B COVID Plan
Michigan Republican State Representative Thomas Albert is taking the wraps off a $13 billion dollar spending plan at the state capitol. Thomas chairs the House Appropriations Committee. The 86th State House District he represents includes portions of Kent and Ionia counties.
Thomas says the spending plan is set up in a straightforward manner. “We want to make sure money intended to help kids is used to help kids, and money that’s intended to help roads will help roads.”
