Former president Jacob Zuma allegedly benefitted from millions of rands unlawfully paid to him by the State Security Agency (SSA) during his tenure as head of state.

Details of the money and other benefits allegedly given to Zuma were revealed at the commission of inquiry into state capture on Monday.
The former chairperson of the High-Level Review Panel on the SSA, Sydney Mufamadi, appeared before the commission.
With project commitment, we were told that the project involved providing then president Jacob Zuma with R2.5 million per month in the 2015/16 financial year. This amount was increased to R4.5 million per month in the 2016/17 financial year.
