Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], January 16 (ANI): Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Friday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking free vaccine delivery to the poor population of the state.
Punjab will kickstart the process of vaccination of 1.74 lakh health workers with 40,000 to be covered every day over the next five days in the first phase.
The Chief Minister, while acknowledging the receipt of 2,04,500 doses of Covishield vaccine, thanked the PM Modi for making the vaccine available on priority to the Health Care Workers (HCWs) of the State and Central Government in Punjab.

TRIPURA: In accordance with the relief packages announced earlier by Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, the state government has announced a Covid relief fund of Rupees 3.84 crores to be disbursed to the families of those who lost someone to the corona pandemic. The relief was announced as part of a state scheme that will be implemented with effect until December 31st. Applications are now being submitted by the people and the disbursal will start once the filing process is over.
