Sinopec builds China’s largest carbon-capture project
State energy giant Sinopec started building a carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) project in Eastern China’s Shandong province, the largest of its kind in the country, the company said. The project, to be put into operation by the end of 2021, is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 1 million tons a year.
