The first national competition for the musical theatre soloist seeking the best emerging talent in 2022.
The 2022 NMTC semifinal and final rounds will be held in New York City, as part of the 2022 NATS Winter Workshop, in early January 2022 (dates and location TBA).
The National Musical Theatre Competition (NMTC) was launched in 2011 as the first national competition for the emerging professional musical theatre soloist. Now in its sixth iteration, NMTC has provided industry connections to past competitors and winners that have led to their success on Broadway and other venues. The biennial competition takes place in conjunction with the NATS Winter Workshop in New York City, expressly hosted in proximity to the music industry’s top professionals.

Music & Morsels: Wednesday, January 6 Classical Elegance for the New Year – 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Pianist Ian Scarfe will present a special New Year’s program featuring the classical masters – Sonatas by Franz Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Scarfe will give a breakdown of the history and context of the Sonatas, offering a kind of “listening guide” to these incredible works.

Created by the clubs Stage Door Academy, it was filmed with the aid of Logic Films Media on the stage at Stars Theatre Restaurant. We know that children learn and express themselves in many different ways, said Frank Sierra, performing arts instructor, in a news release. Our Performing Arts Program has always been a high yield learning experience and an opportunity for children to explore their creative skills/talents. The kids in our community long for being on stage and sharing their voices. Our workshop addresses all of these vital needs.
