A press release sent Friday evening said âless than a dozenâ legislators have been contacted by a contact tracer and none have tested positive or shown symptoms yet, though symptoms can take days to develop.
âThe contact tracer continues to work to ensure all close contacts have been notified. No legislator has yet tested positive for COVID-19 or shown any symptoms this week,â read the release from Kyle Schmauch, the spokesperson for the Legislatureâs COVID-19 panel.
The session is being held under a hybrid model that allows for remote participation because of the pandemic.Â
There was no information about the total number of people contacted by the legislative contact tracer in addition to lawmakers, such as other lobbyists, staff, members of the press or public who are in the Capitol. Schmauch only had information for lawmakers and the county health department said it did not have details Friday afternoon.

Local drivers are reminded to drive to conditions as upgrades commence on two of Bundabergâs busiest intersections.
Pedestrian signals will be installed at two intersections on Takalvan St including on Heidke St with Johanna Boulevard and Walker St.
âThe community has told us they want better, safer roads for pedestrians around this busy shopping precinct and weâre delivering,â State Member for Bundaberg Tom Smith said.
âIt means workers, shoppers and people who want to use Jubilee Park can safely cross Takalvan Street.â
âWeâre upgrading the Isis Highway, have our funding locked in for the east levee and this additional investment in local roads will support jobs as our economic recovery continues.â
