When you think the holidays, chances are you don’t also think explosions, shootouts, and a city in peril. Instead, you probably expect good cheer, kisses (possibly under the mistletoe), gift exchanges, and office parties. Well,
NCIS: Los Angeles has all of that, which is why it has established itself, especially in recent years, as the procedural with the best Christmas episodes.
Some of the series’ best and most memorable installments have been its last ones for December. Whether it’s Sam (LL Cool J) trying to do something for his family, Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) taking a major step forward, or everyone gathering for a memorable office party that plays out twice, we always know that hour will not disappoint.
The plot synopsis for Season 12, Episode 7 has also been revealed and it reads as follows:
“The NCIS team’s murder investigation of a man who sold military information leads to the abduction of a doctor whose cutting edge neurotechnology could be developed into advanced weaponry.
Also, team members are interviewed by FLETC to see if Deeks would make a good NCIS agent, and Callen tries to have an important talk with Arkady, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES.”
It will be important for fans to watch (or maybe re-watch) the fall finale before the NCIS: LA winter premiere airs in January.
As hinted at in the episode description, we are also going to see the return of Arkady Kolcheck (played by Vyto Ruginis again).
Sometimes you just need a Christmas miracle … or a Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) to be in your corner, even from an undisclosed location.
NCIS: Los Angeles brings back two familiar faces for the Christmas episode in Season 12: Hetty, for some good tidings and cheer for a certain despondent former LAPD liaison, and Eric (Barrett Foa), with some cool new tech that may prove vital … or take Ops out of commission in the middle of a case.
Meanwhile, Sam’s (LL Cool J) daughter Kam (Kayla Smith) visits, but her reaction to meeting his girlfriend Katherine (Moon Bloodgood) isn’t what he’d hoped. And speaking of family, Callen (Chris O’Donnell) reunites with someone from his “G.” (remember when he didn’t know his full name is Grisha Aleksandrovich Nikolaev) and foster days.

A lot is being advertised for the episode called If the Fates Allow, including someone from Callen’s past reappearing, Sam’s daughter making an appearance, and actress Moon Bloodgood guest-starring again.
In regard to the daughter of NCIS Special Agent Sam Hanna (played by LL COOL J), a new actress is joining the show to take over the role of Kam Hanna. The show is aging-up the character and giving her a backstory that will crisscross with what Sam does for a career.

NCIS: Los Angeles fans have been nervous about actor Eric Christian Olsen possibly leaving the show this season. He plays the character of Marty Deeks and he recently lost his position as a liaison between the LAPD and NCIS.
Daniela Ruah, who plays Kensi Blye on the show, addressed the rumors about her co-star in a recent interview. She seems to believe that he will be around for a while. As for their partnership? That’s a different question.
