SPRINGDALE, Utah â A Utah man was found dead Friday morning at Zion National Park, in the southern part of the state.
According to the National Park Service, park visitors reported that someone had fallen off Angels Landing Thursday afternoon. Search and rescue crews found the body the next morning at the base of the summit.
The man has been identified 43-year-old Jason Hartwell from Draper.
It appears he fell from Angel’s Landing.

Officials at Zion National Park have identified a Utah man who apparently fell to his death from Angels Landing.
Jason Hartwell, 43, of Draper, was found on Friday morning at the base of the summit of Angels Landing. A preliminary investigation found that he had injuries consistent with a high elevation fall. A search and rescue was originally initiated on Thursday afternoon after park visitors reported that someone had fallen from Angels Landing.
