View Comments EDISON – The former Ford plant on Route 1 will cement its identity as a shopping destination and adult playground if the Planning Board approves an indoor recreation facility with go-kart racing and video games at Edison Towne Square. If approved, the facility would join Topgolf, Sam’s Club, and Tio Taco + Tequila at the site. iFly Indoor Skydiving, LA Fitness, Chick-fil-A and Chipotle Mexican Grill are also expected to open there.  Edison Land Investment, LLC is seeking major preliminary and final site plan approval for the construction of the 95,000-square foot facility. Besides go-kart racing and video games, a bar and restaurant and other recreational uses are proposed in the new facility.
