Pol Capt Taweesak Iamchongchan, deputy chief investigator for Phanom Thuan, said the accident occurred about 11.45am on Highway 324 at kilometre 16+140 near Moo 4 village in tambon Thung Samo. The Bangkok-registered Toyota Ventury van ran into the back of an 18-wheel Hino trailer truck the drive had parked on the roadside after a tyre burst.

Driver of fatal-fire tour bus charged

(Photo: Chakkrapan Natanri) KHON KAEN: The driver of the tour bus that burst into flames early on Tuesday, killing five passengers and injuring 12 others, has been charged with reckless driving causing deaths and injuries. The fatal fire occurred about 12.30am on Tuesday on the Mittraphap highway in Ban Haet district, shortly after the Bangkok-bound bus, with 33 passengers on board, left the Khon Kaen terminal. Pol Col Thanomsak Sopha, the Ban Haet police chief, said on Wednesday that the driver, Patsadee Kham-on, 48, of Maha Sarakham s Borabue district, who also sustained burns, had been charged.

April 8, 2021 Rokiah Mahmud The Land Transport Department (JPD) announced that the ‘Normborku’ feature on its website now has a search function. This was revealed in a press statement as part of improvements aimed at helping the public easily search for unregistered vehicle numbers and get more information regarding the availability of the numbers for purchase. JPD said more features will be introduced including dual-language, online application and payment. The department reminded the public to register obtained vehicle numbers within 30 days. Their application can be extended with a holding fee of BND60. The registration period will then be increased to three years.
