This was not due to racism. Black students get lower grades at selective colleges because they are admitted with lower grades and test scores than their non-black classmates, due to racial preferences in admissions at schools like Georgetown. Recipients of non-racial preferences in admissions also get lower grades at the schools that admit them. I received lower than average grades as a student at Harvard Law School. Why? Georgetown Law fires professor for ‘abhorrent’ remarks about Black students By Michael Levenson New York Times,Updated March 12, 2021, 8:52 a.m. Email to a Friend Georgetown Law.CHRISTOPHER GREGORY Georgetown University Law Center said on Thursday that it had fired an adjunct professor who made “abhorrent” remarks about Black students on a video call and had placed another adjunct who was on the call with her on administrative leave. The two adjunct professors, Sandra A. Sellers and David C. Batson, seemed to be unaware they were being recorded, according to a roughly 40-second clip of their conversation that generated widespread outrage after it was shared online.
