YOUNGSVILLE, Warren County â A Titusville man is headed to trial on charges he raped a teenager when she was unconscious as a result of having allegedly consumed alcoholic beverages provided by the man.
Rodney Joseph Boyle, 24, waived his preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Todd Woodin on Wednesday. Boyle was charged by state police at Warren late last month following an Aug. 27 incident in Southwest Township.
The rape allegedly occurred at Boyleâs Enterprise Road residence at approximately 4 a.m. Aug. 28, according to the criminal complaint filed by police.
Boyle later told police that he provided the teenager with seven to eight shots of vodka beginning late on Aug. 27 when she was visiting the home, according to the probable cause affidavit filed by police. The girl told investigators that she vomited outside the residence and passed out upon going inside.
