Obama Thinks Your Gun Rights Are A Joke
This past week, President Barack Obama went to the pool report microphones at the White House to share his reaction to the October 1 attack on Umpqua Community College by a madman who killed 8 students, a college professor and himself.
But rather than giving his usual canned remarks about his “thoughts and prayers” for the dead, injured and their families and his tired demand for more gun control laws that would prove useless in stopping a mad gunman, gang members and criminals from getting guns on the black market to commit their crimes, he led with a political statement.
If one can say the pandemic has had any positive side effect, it has been to help us focus on what the loss of liberties looks like. Such losses do not occur immediately but erode over time as people become increasingly comfortable with government claiming to know what is best for us.
The Biden administration is proceeding on a downward spiral that has ended in lost liberties in nations of the past by seizing increasing amounts of power for itself through a slew of executive orders, without the consent of the people, or Congress.
When announcing his gun control executive orders last week, President Biden referenced the Second Amendment and the right to keep and bear arms. He claimed his orders do not infringe on that right, but added, No amendment is absolute. That is concerning.

NATIONAL NEWS - The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has welcomed a Pretoria High Court dismissal of former Gauteng Health MEC, Dr Bandile Masuku’s application challenging the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) investigation outcome report.
The application is related to PPE procurement by the Gauteng Department of Health in April 2020.
Reacting to the High Court outcome, the SIU said its investigation in the department found a number of irregularities in the appointment of service providers for the delivery and supply of PPE.
It also found that Masuku failed to exercise appropriate oversight and act against the irregularities when he was made aware.

In an Executive Action on Thursday, President Biden announced new restrictions in ghost guns and accessories like rifle stabilizers a tool which was used in the mass shooting in Boulder, Colorado last month.
He also urged the legislator to pass a package of bills and add even more gun related restrictions.
Michigan House of Representatives Former Majority Leader, Triston Cole argues the restrictions already don’t apply to the majority of gun owners.
“Looking over some of the things that the President outlined ghost guns, gun parts many of these things already have restrictions and require background checks,” says Cole. “We have more guns than people and right now the vast majority are legally owned and possessed firearms.”
