Swinney Named Eddie Robinson Award Finalist
The Football Writers Association of America and Allstate Sugar Bowl announced today that Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney has been named as one of nine finalists for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award. Additional information from award organizers is included below.
DALLAS (FWAA) – The Football Writers Association of America, in conjunction with the Allstate Sugar Bowl, announced nine finalists for the 2020 Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award on Monday. Among the finalists is a two-time winner and three former finalists representing a combined total of 14 nominations. Two head coaches whose teams are playing in the College Football Playoff headline the list that also includes coaches of three other conference champions and the country’s top independent team.
The Austin-based institute receives a pair of grants to help with cancer research.

AUSTIN Dr. Kurt and Brenda Potach of The Karl Potach Foundation gave a $60,000 gift to The Hormel Foundation to further research of the Wilms’ tumor.
The donation brings the total given to The Hormel Foundation from The Karl Potach Foundation of $711,500 since 2008.
