A resident at Fairmount Home near Glenburnie has tested positive for COVID-19.
The resident has been receiving treatment from the long-term care home’s medical team and is isolated from other patients, reads a news release from Frontenac County issued Friday morning.

Contact tracing is underway, as are plans to further test staff and residents, the news release continued.
On Dec. 9, it was reported that a staff member at the 128-bed Fairmount Home tested positive for COVID-19. The individual self-isolated and outbreak protocols were implemented, said a Dec. 9 release from Frontenac County, which owns and operates the facility on Battersea Road.
