Netflix announces its 2021 lineup of Korean films and dramas
Viewers are set to expect a lot of new Korean dramas and movies, with just how much Netflix Korea announced in their most recent global press conference.

Netflix Global Office’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos alongside Netflix Korea’s VP Min Young Kim announced on Feb. 25, 2021 that the company has decided to support the South Korean entertainment industry with over $500 million to continue producing content.
Other than the $500-million-investment, Netflix also had signed with two new studios in South Korea, which they dubbed “the new global hub for creativity.”

Netflix’s investment was said to include the filming of two movies and more content for 2021 alone. The company is investing this much as the Korean entertainment market has been booming since it debuted on the platform in 2015, Yonhap News Agency reported. Netflix has more than 200 million paid users across the world, including 2.8 million in South Korea, Kim Min Young, Netflix Korea’s vice president, said during a streamed event this week. For 2021, we will invest $500 million into Korean content and help the entire world enjoy Korean shows.

The actor sported various athletic outfits in the photos, which show off his coordination and strength. Hyun Bin commented that it was his first time using exercise equipment for a photo shoot. When asked what equipment he typically reaches for when he exercises, he replied, “Dumbbells. I enjoy working out my shoulders so I often use dumbbells for that purpose.”
He grew sheepish when the interviewer mentioned that people said his shoulders as wide as the Pacific Ocean. “Shoulder workouts are painful, but they’re that much more rewarding because of it.”

Topping Robredo’s list was Hallyu star Gong Yoo, who starred recently in Goblin (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God) with Kim Go-eun and Lee Dong-wook.
