All entities in Qatar having a commercial register or a tax card without any exception must submit income tax returns via the new tax system called Dhareeba, said an expert during an online tax summit.
The summit provided details on recent developments in the tax environment of Qatar, such as practical administrative experiences of a newly introduced tax administration system (Dhareeba).

The session covered three main topics, starting with direct tax update about tax filing requirements and deadlines, exemptions, confirmation of conditions for tax exemptions, in addition to some keynotes from Dhareeba and General Tax Authority (GTA), Transfer Pricing regulations and Value Added Tax (VAT).

A UN rights expert has urged Laos to free three activists serving long prison sentences for criticising the country s authoritarian communist government.
The trio Somphone Phimmasone, Soukan Chaithad and Lodkham Thammavong were jailed in 2017 after taking part in a protest outside the Laos embassy in Bangkok and posting Facebook messages.
Mary Lawlor, the UN s special rapporteur on human rights defenders, said they had not had a fair trial and called for their release. To date, none of the above human rights defenders have had access to their lawyers, she said in a statement issued late Monday.

During a chat with
Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Chief Medical Officer and trauma expert Dr. Eugene Lipov shed light on Demi’s struggles and speculated that her PTSD might have been caused by the creative media environment.
While discussing the best preventative course of action, Dr. Lipov claimed, “Taking time off to recharge, and spending time in nature. Meditate; that is the only thing that can regrow the brain. PTSD/PTSI has been shown to shrink the brain. Yoga activates the vagal nerve that reverses the effects of fight or flight over activation that is PTSI (post-traumatic stress injury). Using a trauma-informed therapist helps as well.”
