21 residents affected as care home in Peel announces closure Twenty-one residents at a care home in Peel will be forced to find alternative accommodation. Corrin Memorial Home has today announced it is planning to close in July. The Board of Directors say the decision has been made with deep regret and has not been arrived at easily . The directors claim, that despite working tirelessly , they can find no way to make the home viable.  Government’s registration and inspection unit has been notified of the plans which will impact residents, their families and staff. The board has pledged to do everything it can to minimise the impact for all concerned – formal consultation with staff has started today.
