No stores in Pa. are part of Macy’s latest round of closures: Report Updated Jan 07, 2021; Facebook Share Macy’s stores in Pennsylvania are safe from the company’s latest round of closures. Last year, Macy’s announced it was closing 125 stores over a three year period and on Wednesday announced the locations of 37 stores (including one Bloomingdale store) that will close this spring, according to USA Today. The latest round didn’t include any store closings in Pennsylvania, according to USA Today. However, the midstate was impacted by the first round of closings when Macy’s at the Harrisburg Mall closed last year. The three-story department store opened in 2006 and was one of the largest department stores in the Harrisburg area. Those 29 closings in the first round of closings also included the Macy’s store at the Nittany Mall in State College, according to USA Today.
