CM reiterates to provide equitable educational opportunities to children
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar reiterated to provide equitable access to four million children to best educational opportunities.
Chief minister chaired a meeting to review education sector reforms. The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht, Education Minister Murad Raas, secretaries of the Information and School Education Departments and others.
Addressing the meeting CM said that the upgradation of more than 27 thousand schools will result in enhancing the enrolment ratio and it is sanguine that 10 thousand schools of south Punjab are also included in this list.

ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar’s assertion that the “possibility of a human error and clerical mistake cannot be ignored”, while referring to the issuance of the now-revoked notifications reversing the empowerment and relative autonomous status of the South Punjab Secretariats (SPSs), runs counter to the official record.
The Punjab Rules of Business 2011 had been changed following the approval of a large number of amendments by the provincial cabinet that discussed them threadbare. The rules cannot be modified without such a sanction in black and white.
Every time Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar notified amendments in the rules or undid them, he did so only after receiving a proper, formal and well-thought-out summary from the provincial government. Strangely, the governor has now denied that his office had issued the March 29 notification that had rolled back the SPSs.
Chinese Ambassador Calls on CM Punjab
Lahore, March 12, 2021 (PPI-OT):Ambassador of China Mr Nong Rong called on Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office on Thursday and discussed matters of mutual interest. He invited the chief minister to visit China and appreciated the steps taken by the Punjab government to control coronavirus. The CM thanked the Chinese government for its cooperation during the corona pandemic and provision of vaccine adding that China is the most trustworthy friend. We appreciate the valuable Chinese cooperation in the development of our country and it is sanguine that Pakistan-China economic relations are touching new heights during the tenure of PM Imran Khan, he added.

LAHORE:Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on the Eradication of Corona and expressed concern over the increase in the number of patients in Lahore and other districts.
It was decided to close markets after Maghrib prayers while milk and yoghurt shops, medical stores and tandoors will be exempted from this prohibition. It was decided to take steps for securing the lives of the common man in cities with a more than five per cent positive corona test ratio. The meeting resolved to ban sports activities, Jashan-e-Baharan and public meetings in Lahore and some other cities for two weeks.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday said offers had already started coming to their senators ahead of election for the Senate chairman.
Chairing a meeting of the party spokespersons here, Imran said he knew which senator was offered what adding that the role of the Election Commission was controversial and it did what was done in the Daska by-election.
Referring to the recent Senate elections and emergence of a video, involving Yusuf Raza Gilani’s son and two MNAs, he said Yusuf Raza Gilani had blatantly trampled the morals and the nation was closely watching his actions.
