Durham County Manager Wendell Davis
Henry McKoy says Durhamâs leaders like to âstand on the mountaintop and proclaim itâs the bluest city in America.â
But the North Carolina Central University professor derided a statement by the Peopleâs Alliance that encouraged the countyâs elected officials to not renew the contract of Durham County Manager Wendell Davis, a Black man whose seven-year tenure has been lauded for its professional achievements but marred by in-fighting with county board members.Â

The presidential electors gave Biden a solid majority of 306 electoral votes to Trump’s 232, the same margin that Trump bragged was a landslide when he won the White House four years ago.
