JASPER The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating a two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Hamilton woman.
The crash happened around 3:07 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
Cheyenne Nicole Lawson, 43, was killed when her Jeep Liberty was struck head-on by a Freightliner.
“The Freightliner crossed over the centerline of the highway in a no-passing zone,” ALEA said in a statement. “Lawson was pronounced deceased by a doctor at a local hospital.”
The crash happened on Alabama 278, about 21 miles east of Jasper.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are investigating.
