Quinte West Youth Centre has a new weekly mental health counselling service available to people as young as 10.
Executive director Jessica Coolen said counselling is to begin Thursday, Feb. 11, either in person at the centre or online, if lockdown measures or other restrictions continue.

It’s the result of a $94,500 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund. The fund is intended to help agencies recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The centre’s grant expires Jan. 31, 2022.
